The Pathmark was completed in 2023 and is located near Davis Square, next to the Alewife Linear Park bicycle and walking path. This new building transforms a site once occupied by a large autobody business into 34 residential units above one level of underground parking. Many units have their own private balconies.
The Pathmark is designed to be a part of the neighborhood visually. The building mass is broken up into separate forms, each having its own character and materials. There is also a small, community-oriented retail component.
The Pathmark achieved LEED Platinum and Energy Star certifications. It is both energy and water-efficient; the parking garage features EV-charging stations; and the building features many other innovative strategies to exceed the community’s green building goals.
