The existing building is a listed Historic Property, serves as a museum for Somerville’s history, and supports an active exhibit area. PQA designed an addition that provides elevator access to all floors of the building as well as updating service and patron areas, such as the lobby, public restrooms, and basement storage areas.
The addition was designed in a historically appropriate style. On the interior, high-quality finishes and lighting fixtures were installed throughout.
